Morzine is barely an hour and a half from Geneva, making transfers relatively good value and easy. It’s part of the Portes du Soleil area which offers well over 600 km of pistes, but the local area is extensive enough to occupy you for a short break.
Intermediates are particularly well served, with attractive reds to cruise on, and a choice of red and blue runs down to the bottom of most lifts. If you feel like a challenge there are some great blacks, and the off-piste is also quite exciting (guides can be arranged).
The village itself is large and attractive, with an extensive bus service and a particularly good range of après-ski opportunities – especially in the lower part of town.
